Timothy McMichael set up our Family Works Resolution Services following changes to the Family Court. With more than 30 years’ experience gained in the UK, the USA and home here in NZ, in in the fields of Family Justice, counselling and family mediation, Timothy is dedicated to helping parents resolve their child care arrangements which are in the best interests of their children.

Family Mediator
Bryan was a partner with Hawke’s Bay firm Langley Twigg for 15 years before retiring from practice at the end of 2010 to focus on out of Court dispute resolution. Since then Bryan has completed the Massy University Post Graduate Diploma in Business Studies (Dispute Resolution) and has become an accredited FDR Provider.

Wendy Kazianis

Family Mediator
Wendy Kazianis has 14 years’ experience as a professional full time mediator. Having handled over 2800 mediations she offers a "safe pair of hands" to support and guide you through the mediation process, helping you to explore and find resolution to your conflict. Her mediation skills were recognised by LEADR in 2010 when she was accepted as a member of LEADR’s advanced Panel of Mediators. Wendy is an accredited Family Dispute Resolution provider (FDR).
Susan Hayward

Susan Hayward

Family Mediator
Originally from the United States, Susan has lived in New Zealand for over 30 years. After graduating from the University of Auckland Law School, she commenced practise in Napier, and has continued in practise, now as a barrister sole, doing only Family Court work. Her main focus is on children with well over half her work acting as Court-appointed lawyer for child or counsel to assist. She is an accredited member of the New Zealand Law Society’s Panel of Mediators as a Family Specialist.
Paulette Goddard

Paulette has an LLB and a BSoc Sc from Waikato University and was admitted to the bar in New Zealand in 1996. She is an accredited mediator with AMINZ and NMAS (Australia). Paulette’s family mediation practice is built upon 25 years experience in the social service sector - working in family law, policy, social justice, multicultural affairs and health promotion. Paulette is committed to supporting families, couples and individuals from all walks of life. She is collaborative in her approach and believes that respectful and constructive communication gives permission to resolving disputes and removing constraints within relationships. Her work is child inclusive and focuses on the best interest of children.
