Resolution Service Manager
Timothy McMichael set up our Family Works Resolution Service following changes in 2013 and 2014 to the New Zealand Family Court.
He has more than 30 years of experience in Britain, USA and in New Zealand in the fields of Family Justice, Family Law and Psychology.
His clients are separating and separated mums, dads and other people with a legitimate interest in the day-to-day care and well-being of their children.
Timothy also works with a small number of cases in the far north in Kaitaia and Keri Keri, supporting parties to get the very best outcomes for their tamariki.
Timothy travels nationally and internationally to promote the value of engaging in Alternative Dispute Resolution services, and particularly Family Mediation. In New Zealand, he speaks to a wide range of audiences including Family Court Judges, family lawyers, the Citizens’ Advice Bureau, Oranga Tamariki, family violence agencies and family and social services.
In 2017, Timothy was named Mediator of the Year at the NZ Law Awards.
